Rhode Island District 4 is a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization and committed to financial transparency. The District filed paperwork with the State of Rhode Island and the Internal Revenue Service to qualify for this designation. The District regularly holds District meetings throughout the year. At these meetings, a financial report is provided.

The District has a bank account with Navigant Credit Union that was opened in January 2023; bank statements are posted below.

The District receives funding from three sources: dues voluntarily paid by leagues in the District;  sponsors; and credits provided by Little League International when all leagues in the District submit and have their safety plans approved by April 1 of each year. We are proud to share that all leagues met the 2024 safety plan deadline.

RID4 Expenses

While the District is staffed by volunteers, none of whom draw a salary or any form of compensation, there are expenses relative to District operations. These include:

  • This website and domain. (Note that hosting fees are covered by an anonymous donor.)
  • Player Recognitions
    • In 2023, the District began a new program of recognizing District Champions with mini-banners and players on the second-place teams receive medals.
  • New for 2024:
    • Pins that are given to players for trading at the District, State, Regional and World Series Tournaments.
    • T-shirts that list all players’ names for the District and State Tournaments
    • District and State Tournament keepsake programs
